Fashion themed Shoot

So, recently, I did a fashion type shoot over the weekend. One of the styles of portraits that I've been wanting to do so badly!

Location was at an abandoned building structure, just beside the Sungai Buloh KTM station.

Gears used this time round is the usual Canon EOS 550D with a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non VC and my newly acquired 50mm f/1.8 II and a 580EXII attached to a Demb Diffuser Pro. Great stuff!

Nightscape in Putrajaya

Got to shoot some nightscapes in Putrajaya along with my friend, Rohan one fine night.

There quite some spots for good picture taking opportunities but since time was limited we only managed to shoot a few places only.

One difficulty I had  with shooting nightscapes was the spotlights which affected the overall exposure of the camera. During long shutter speeds, it'll be blown out and would look quite ugly in the picture. Nothing could be done about that except to choose better spots that can conceal those spotlights.

Other than that, shooting over in Putrajaya was a breeze. The night temperature was comfortable and shooting was a pleasure. There weren't many people around also (Putrajaya is quite deserted at night but bustling all over in the day) so we could get our shots done well without people having to appear in our frame.

On the way back, we noticed a very interesting scene over the bridge. Something really wide....luckily managed to capture it with only my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non VC zoom lens. Cropped in 21:9 to get that really wide look.

So yeah, it's a nice trip to Putrajaya. Definitely recommended for those who really love Nightscapes! The reflections in the water are really really beautiful!
